King Charles Hotel

The hotel made us feel safe and welcome, even when I wasn’t feeling well during the trip. The staff kept checking on me, and they were so personable that the place felt like somewhere we belonged, not like we were strangers. They even put out a fresh dessert every night. Our room was clean and updated, and the hotel kept a close eye on who was coming and going. Each floor has its own key, so from the outside stairs you can’t just open the door to the first or third floor if you’re staying on the second. It also helps keep noise down. We were there during the July 4th events on the boardwalk, and my kids were scared, especially my four-year-old daughter, who begged to go home. The hotel printed an update about what had happened and slipped it under our door. Growing up, I spent a lot of time vacationing in Ocean City because my grandmother had a house on the water. I have lots of memories there with my cousins and parents, and wanted to give my children some of that too. We hadn’t vacationed there in over ten years, and I used to stay in a condo once a year, so this was my first hotel stay in ages. I’m glad I found this one. I’ll definitely come back, and highly recommend it. A++++

We only needed a place to sleep for the boardwalk rock fest, and the room was fine, though nothing special. It was very clean, and we loved having the balcony. The owner baked a treat every day and was more than accommodating. Service was top notch, and the location meant we could walk to the event with no transportation hassles. I’d stay again. There are plenty of good cafes nearby since the hotel doesn’t serve breakfast, and the location makes it easy to get around to major sights. It’s quiet enough for a good night’s sleep too. At King Charles Hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful from check-in through check-out, and the whole stay felt pleasant. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and decorated in a warm, inviting classic style. I really enjoyed it and will definitely return, whether I’m visiting for work or leisure.
