Hilton Garden Inn Odessa

I’ve stayed at this Hilton Garden Inn many times and will keep coming back. The rooms are a little dated, but they’re always spotless, and cleanliness clearly comes first here. I’ve had a great experience every time. The front desk staff are friendly and know their stuff, and the breakfast and bar teams are attentive and consistently go out of their way to make guests comfortable.

I was only here for a quick overnight, so the slightly dated rooms weren’t a big deal. What I really want to thank the housekeeping and front desk staff for is getting my lost items back to me. They said they’d let me know as soon as anything turned up, and called the moment they found my things. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

The location was good, the bed comfortable, the air conditioning worked great, and the room was quiet. I was there for just one business night, in a spacious king room. The bathroom was small if you have more than one person. The place is clean, but the hotel is plain old, with worn furnishings and fixtures and a lot of rust in the bathroom from moisture. It was the same issue when I stayed a few years ago. The front desk lady said they were probably going to start remodeling this fall. It definitely needs it. I was in Room 312.

I expect a lot more from a Hilton, even though I’m not usually one to leave bad reviews. There was rust on the bathtub, check-in was very unfriendly, and the whole experience was just bad. I wouldn’t recommend this particular Hilton Garden Inn.
