The facility was below average and expensive, with amenities that didn't seem to work. The elevator button was broken, the laundry was out of order, and there were no vending machines on any floor. The staff were great, and the shower pressure was excellent.

The hotel is very run down, and the front desk staff were unprofessional and didn't seem interested in fixing anything. We'd never stay here again. We travel a lot for sports and usually check in online, but this time they wouldn't release the digital key until we showed ID at the desk. When we arrived Friday evening, the lobby smelled terrible, like a sewer. We'd requested a first-floor room, but the receptionist said they'd given it away and put us on the second floor instead. The elevator wasn't working for the second floor, so we had to call the desk each time to have them send it. A few employees told us it had been that way for about two months. That seems like a serious fire marshal compliance issue. Breakfast was bad, with moldy bread. We asked to speak with the manager on Friday, but she never called. We finally saw her Sunday before checkout, and she didn't seem to think there was a problem. Photos of note: the second-floor elevator, the dining area by the fireplace, and lots of missing tile.

The room and hotel were great, and well worth staying at. The Wednesday Social, though, was horrible. They served warm beer, soup from a can, and a salad bowl that was always empty. The server was usually in the back unless someone needed more warm beer. Come on, put the beer in the fridge a few hours ahead and use a bigger salad bowl. The beer sold in the pantry was cold.

The staff were amazing, but I took a star off for the service timing. In an oilfield city, breakfast at 6:00 is when we generally need to be at the work site, and I've seen other hotels start at 5:00 or 5:30. The suite area was stocked, and the small fridge had a nice ice maker since there wasn't one on the floor. It was clean, the shower always had hot water, and the HVAC kept the room at 68F. There were some issues: the sink was held on with caulking, the master light switch didn't work, and there was no light in the kitchen area. The overhead light over the sink worked, but the bathroom was dark with just one bulb. The shower doors didn't line up with the rubber stoppers, leaving a gap at the walls. The hard water had clogged the showerhead. It had settings, but wasn't working right, so it stayed on jet.
