Tru By Hilton Ogden, UT

Breakfast each morning was terrific, with lots of options in a strong buffet, and the gym was impressive. I also enjoyed the indoor pool as a way to unwind after a busy day. I was here on a business trip, and the service and amenities made the stay easy. My room was clean and comfortable. It was on the small side, but the design worked well and it was perfectly fine for one person. I'd absolutely stay at Tru by Hilton Ogden again and recommend it to other people traveling for work.

The staff were very pleasant, so I would have given one star instead. But a nice room and good service don't mean much when you get no sleep. The hotel sits right beside a street with traffic all night. There are far too many other choices nearby. Avoid this place if you actually want to sleep at your hotel.

The breakfast was great, and the front desk crew were fabulous every morning and evening. But I didn't like having no coffee pot in the room or anywhere to store my clothes. Getting an extension was difficult, so I had to make a separate booking at the start of my work trip. I then had to check out and back in, and switched rooms three times before I got a working TV. On the second-to-last day of my eight-day stay, I came back to find my room propped open with a washcloth. I thought I'd run into housekeeping, but I didn't. I have no idea how long the room had been left open or how nobody noticed. Management tried to make it right with points, but I never heard anything else about it. After all that, I'm going back to Marriott.

I love staying at Tru. It's clean, comfortable, and affordable, and the beds are amazing. The shower floor wasn't slippery, unlike at some other places we've stayed. That's a big deal for someone who's handicapped. Parking for people with disabilities was great too.
