Flamingo Motel

Our rooms were recently updated and very clean, with a great shower that had strong pressure and plenty of hot water. Debbie at the front desk is a gem. We're backpacking the Florida Trail, and she let us check in early so we could leave our packs and shower before heading into town to resupply. She's also a local with lots of useful information for travelers. I highly recommend this place to backpackers and other travelers.

There's no in-room coffee or complimentary breakfast. The building is old, but the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the bathrooms had been renovated and looked nice.

My mother and her boyfriend came from North Carolina to visit me. When they arrived, the front desk attendant refused to give my mother a room, insisting that someone else was hiding in the backseat of their vehicle. That wasn't true, only my mother and her boyfriend were there. She parked in front of the office and offered to let the attendant check the vehicle, but the employee declined and kept insisting there was another person and that they had to pay an extra charge. The whole thing was handled unprofessionally and caused my family unnecessary stress. It happened in the afternoon on December 24, 2025, and I'm leaving a negative review because of it.

They made a really difficult time in my life much easier. I spent about two weeks there, and whenever I needed help, someone was there for me. Everyone was kind, the rooms were clean and nice, and I was glad I stayed. Thank you all so much.
