avid hotel Oklahoma City - Quail Springs by IHG

I never actually stayed at this Avid Hotel, but Brenda handled a problem so well that I wanted to leave a review. It was New Year’s Eve and the hotel was sold out. Something unexpected meant I couldn’t make it, so I called early that morning to let them know. I didn’t realize that on sold-out nights the system checks everyone in automatically, and my card was charged. That could’ve turned into a long, frustrating dispute. Brenda listened, explained the process, and dealt with it professionally. She couldn’t confirm who I’d spoken to earlier, but used good judgment and sorted things out without making it difficult. If they treat people this well even when they haven’t had a chance to stay, I can imagine they take good care of their guests. I’m looking forward to coming back to Oklahoma City and staying there next time.

I’ve stayed at this hotel countless times for work, and I’ll keep coming back. I’ve used IHG properties all over the US, and this is one of my top five. The rooms are consistently clean, and it’s easy to get to food and entertainment nearby. One of my favorite perks is that hotel guests can walk over to LifeTime fitness and get in for free.

There’s hot, cold, and sparkling water available all the time, and the room was spacious, well equipped, and very clean. The hotel is also conveniently near lots of restaurants and stores. Breakfast was limited, with few hot choices, and the microwave was broken so we couldn’t make oatmeal. The swimming pool was quite dirty and really needed a thorough cleaning. Otherwise, I’d highly recommend the hotel.

For a two-star hotel, it was a solid stay. The rooms were clean but felt a bit worn. There’s a Chili’s and a Mexican restaurant within walking distance. If I’m back in OKC near the airport, I’d stay here again.
