Best Western Plus Barsana Hotel & Suites

The staff were friendly, and I’d consider staying here again, but I’d check the room carefully first. My mattress was very firm, though I slept well enough. The fridge was only okay, and the area didn’t feel like the best part of town, with security vehicles being called to the hotel across the street on more than one night. My main concern was the door. There were gaps big enough to let daylight through, and wind coming at the right angle made it whistle constantly. That might explain why I returned one day to find the outside door pushed open. I’d locked the room before leaving, but it was open enough that I could push it without a key. Nothing was missing, and I don’t know what happened. Getting into the room was confusing from the start. I arrived late, and the friendly desk agent pointed me to the outside door, which was latched from inside. I went back and learned the room had a second door from the interior hallway, and that one opened fine. A couple of days later, after a busy day out, my keys stopped working because they’d only been made for two days of my weeklong stay. The staff fixed them quickly, and I had no more access trouble, but it didn’t inspire confidence. I’d stay again, though I’d test the mattress and make sure the door seals properly before settling in.
