Days Inn West

We'd stayed at this hotel about two months earlier and everything had been great. This time was terrible, and next time we're in Oklahoma City we'll pay more to stay somewhere else. The room wasn't properly cleaned: there were roaches, a filthy microwave, and a mirror so messy I couldn't see a clear reflection. The smoke detector had been removed. The curtains had tears and wouldn't fully close; the bed covers had burn holes and badly repaired tears. There was no coffee maker, ice bucket, or glasses. We found only one set of towels, and the extra set we requested never came. Though we'd reserved a smoking room, I had to ask the front desk for an ashtray. The on-site washer stopped halfway through a load, leaving our clothes sitting in dirty water. Breakfast was advertised as included, but they don't serve it.

Honestly, this place is way out of line. The woman in the office was rude and disrespectful, and kept making up her own prices. Don't waste your time or money here.

We were only there to shower and sleep, which is why I didn't ask to switch rooms, but I won't book here again even for one night. Being close to other places, including better hotels and motels, is the only reason I didn't rate it lower. This isn't a motel, it's a notel. The only thing that worked well was the shower's water pressure and temperature. The AC was a joke: even on high cool at the lowest setting, the room felt at least 78 degrees, so we took cold showers and couldn't use even the thinnest sheet. It felt cooler outside despite the humidity. The tub had soft spots that seemed to cave in, and the toilet made a goose-like noise when flushed. One lamp wouldn't turn off, so I had to unscrew the bulb. The room had supposedly been cleaned, but it didn't look that way. A ceiling fixture had a plastic bag over it, the covers were burned, and the sheets didn't feel clean. The deadbolt and chain didn't make the door feel secure. Also, the only way in was through a lingerie store parking lot. They need a second driveway.

The room took forever to cool down, and the bathroom drain was disgusting. Even the water was backwards, with hot coming out cold and cold coming out hot. We were moved upstairs after I refused to stay in the first room, where neither the lights nor the phone worked. The stairs were a mix of wood and concrete. They claim to have a pool and breakfast, but neither is available. My first night was a big disappointment, and I'll never stay here again.
