Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Edmond by IHG

Our one-night stay on 30 Jan 2026 and the breakfast were fine. The window lock wouldn't secure, so I told the front desk right away. The attendant brought me a key to the next-door room, where I could stay safely that night, and I appreciated him leaving the desk to help. But the woman on the next shift didn't know the lock needed servicing when we left the next morning. That lack of communication was disappointing, especially since a tree branch leads directly to the second-floor window. I hope guest safety gets taken more seriously here going forward.

The room was quiet and clean, and the location was convenient. But when we arrived Thursday afternoon, my daughter wanted to swim before dinner and found two women using three quarters of the pool for lessons. Four hotel guests were squeezed into the remaining small section. During the half hour we stayed, I saw three groups of people let in by others for lessons. It was frustrating to have so little access to an amenity I'd paid to use.

We were in a second-floor room over the maintenance room, and a pulsing hum kept us awake all night. It wasn't the AC, since we turned it off to try to stop the noise. We arrived very late and didn't think to ask for another room, but we should have.

I just want my property replaced. I believe housekeeping or someone else at the hotel took it, and I've escalated the situation in hopes of getting it back or replaced. I tried speaking with manager Nicole Pelino, but she was very rude and repeatedly hung up on me. I wasn't rude to her or deserving of that treatment. She even shouted that I had been rude to her staff, which isn't true. A sweet woman at the front desk worked there, and I would never have been rude to her. I'd like to know whether calls are recorded so upper management can hear how Nicole spoke to me.
