Hampton Inn Edmond

We paid $135 for one night and it wasn’t worth it. The room looked nice at first, but when we pulled the blankets back, the sheets had dried blood and what looked like poop on them. The fridge and microwave didn’t work, and the TV froze and skipped movies all night. We told the manager, but she did nothing to help. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The workers were all friendly, and I’d stay here again, though it wasn’t anything special. The room seemed updated, but the tub area in the bathroom apparently hadn’t been, and the paint could have been better quality. For a Hampton, it felt a bit low on the list and wasn’t as clean or appealing as we’re used to seeing.

The breakfast setup raised the biggest concerns for me. One staff member handled food with bare hands and walked along the serving line, and staff members’ children were in the kitchen area too. Seeing that made me worry about cleanliness and safety. I also saw children in guest areas, and some staff members couldn’t speak English, which made it hard to get help when we needed it. Our first room was in poor condition, so we had to ask to move. The whole stay felt short on professionalism and basic hospitality. I hope management addresses these problems.

There are better places nearby, and I wouldn’t stay here. The room smelled like dogs, the third-floor hallway carpet had several stains, and the elevator floor and panel looked as though they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. The lobby seemed okay, but the elevator was an early sign of neglect. Please stop letting pets into every room and on every floor. This is the second Hilton property I’ve been in recently that reeks of dogs. We had no cups, just two towels for three people, and no washcloths. The fruit in the lobby water looked like it had been soaking for quite a while, so we skipped it. The desk wasn’t staffed when we checked in or when we left later that evening. My kids got breakfast, but it had shut down before 9:30 a.m. when I went to grab something for the road. I’m not surprised the parking lot was mostly empty while nearby hotels had fairly full lots.
