Intown Suites Extended Stay Oklahoma Ok – Edmond

The Edmond,Oklahoma location turned out 100% better than I expected. It's clean, quiet, and convenient. I needed somewhere to stay for a week while waiting to move into my apartment, without staying with family. The staff were pleasant and knowledgeable, and the laundry facility was amazingly clean. It was miserable from start to finish, and we won't stay here again or recommend it. After paying over $300 for the room, we couldn't afford another hotel or get a refund, so we stayed four days before finally moving to a family member's floor and couch. We hadn't been told there would be two deposits, one for the reservation and another for the room. The rooms were smaller and had less furniture than advertised, with cheap, uncomfortable pieces. The bed frame was broken and sagged on one side; the bed wasn't attached to the headboard, so it moved around and made the frame worse. The room wasn't properly equipped for a week, let alone a longer stay. We got only one towel and washcloth each, no hand towels, and had to pay to wash them. We also had to pay to launder the sheets and comforter. I've never heard of a hotel refusing to launder its own linens and leaving guests with dirty ones if they can't pay. The washcloth had blood stains, and I still couldn't get a replacement. The maintenance man repeatedly harassed us over things that weren't on the prohibited list, like opening the window for fresh air because the air conditioning didn't work properly. Every day he scolded us about something, sometimes several times a day. It felt like being prisoners in our room. We had just one small trash can, not enough for even one meal's rubbish. They gave us one roll of toilet paper, and the cleaning staff said she had none to give when we asked for more, then eventually handed over partial rolls from other rooms. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful to us and to others we watched them deal with.

The renovated rooms are the one reason for my one-star rating. They aren't bad, but the staff were terrible. When I told the manager that the cleaning lady shouldn't throw dirty mop water over the third-floor balcony because it nearly hit me on the first-floor sidewalk, he argued with me and didn't see the danger of someone being hit by chemical-filled water from three stories up. Tony, the maintenance man, was rude and unprofessional, and harassed me about my service animal and opening my window when the room was hot. The air conditioner was full of mold and filled the room with toxic mold, setting off the smoke alarm when it ran. Tony said he didn't care about tenants' health, only that the window stayed shut. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you literally have nowhere else to go. That's unfortunately why most people stay here, and management knows it, so they treat customers like trash.

I’d tell people to pay day by day here. The weekly rate looks like a deal, but if you have to leave early, even for an emergency, they won’t refund what you paid and you can lose a lot of money. I paid for an extra week, then told them on the day it was due to renew that I wanted to move. They refused to return my money. I’ve also personally seen them make people leave without refunds. The rules feel very harsh, and I don’t think this is fair. They’re definitely not pet friendly. I wouldn’t recommend staying unless you’re desperate.
