The reason I'm giving one star is that our room was entered twice within a couple of hours. The first time, I'd fallen asleep while my girlfriend showered. I woke up to a random woman putting her fingers through the door and trying to open the swing bar guard. The housemaid had unlocked the door for her. A couple hours later, a man who worked at the hotel just swung our door open without knocking or saying anything, then stared at us. It doesn't feel like a private room. My girlfriend and I had booked a day room, and the hotel was mediocre. There wasn't a big ice machine like hotels usually have, we had to put a parking ticket in the windshield, and the elevator felt super sketchy. Those are little things, though.

The staff are friendly, kind, helpful, and professional. On my first day, a maintenance man noticed I was struggling with the card reader on my door, and it was fixed within minutes. The room turned out better than I expected, and I like the kitchen because it lets me cook. The location isn't great, but I'm here for work and school, so I'm focused on that rather than exploring or eating out. The occupied half of the hotel is older, but the rooms are decent. The bigger issue for long stays right now is the renovation work on the first half. The paint, glue, and other chemicals are quite noxious, and the floors aren't well ventilated, so fumes linger throughout the hotel and in your room every day. Once construction is done, the hotel should look fresh and newer.

My son stayed here for three months while attending the FAA Academy. The room was very comfortable and had everything he needed for an extended stay. The staff were friendly. He brought his pet cat and never worried it would get out, even when housekeeping came, which was arranged for the same day each week. Amazon packages and deliveries from home arrived without any trouble.

The room was clean, though the furnishings looked thrown together and didn’t really match, so I wasn’t pleased with it. At checkout, Shawn, the housekeeping supervisor, and Tiffany at the front desk were both very helpful and pleasant. They made the visit worthwhile. My arrival had been a different story: Joyce at the counter was nearly rude, which put me in a bad mood, but I had nowhere else to stay.
