Super 8 Oklahoma City

I've stayed here more than a dozen times over many nights and usually thought it was a good value. I've even used Wyndham rewards points on a couple of those stays. Last night changed that. The woman trying to check me in was rude, and insisted on a $100 deposit in cash. She wouldn't take a card and said I couldn't stay without cash. I had no issue with a deposit itself, but the cash-only demand felt like a red flag. I called the manager today, but he backed her up and didn't listen to what I was trying to explain. I told him I'd never planned to return, since I was a regular guest and shouldn't be treated rudely. He suggested she might have been having a bad day or something could have been wrong in the moment. That's no excuse to treat a guest that way. If money is tight and you need a place, this could work, but from now on I'd rather sleep in my car.

We asked for a refund as soon as we saw the room and left for another hotel. The floors were a sticky mess, the rooms looked rough and dirty, and everything smelled moldy. There was weed all over the place and naked children in the hallway. The hotel claims to be smoke-free, but that wasn't our experience. The service was okay, and the staff seemed nice, but they either didn't know about the state of the facilities or didn't care. It looked nothing like the photos. Cheap doesn't always mean better.

Our room smelled clean and the bed was made, which were the only good things I can say. The toilet kept running all night, and I was afraid to mention it after the attitude at check-in. Getting fresh towels was like pulling teeth. The hallway smelled awful, like someone had a stomach issue. Breakfast was basically nonexistent, unless cereal without milk, one honey bun, and bread with no butter or jelly count. A friend gave me and my mom her free night and spent the day on the phone making sure things were arranged for our arrival in Oklahoma City. The man at the counter said she had to be there to claim the room, even though she lives in Florida, then told us to pay or leave. With the way he treated us, I'd tell anyone who sees this hotel to find another one.

I left as soon as I saw the room. It smelled bad, the carpet had holes in it, and the lobby bathroom was dirty. This place is dirty and sucks. I'd give it zero stars. Don't go.
