The New Oceanic Inn

Quiet and homey, and the price is good. The bathrooms are small, but the water pressure is great and the hot water lasts forever. It needs a lot of repairs and updates, though.

Shannon was so sweet and nice. We stayed in the penthouse across the street, which was cozy and had a beautiful view. The beach was just a couple of seconds away. I absolutely loved my stay and would recommend it!

I booked a big, inexpensive apartment for four off-season nights so my family could visit. After I made a mistake with the booking through booking.com, sandy at the desk was awesome and changed it without charging me. A chain hotel might have charged. She upgraded me to a large two-bedroom apartment, and it worked well for what we needed. It’s an older building, so expect things like a dripping faucet, creaky floors, and hearing the neighbors upstairs. The beach was a couple hundred feet away, and I had a good view of it and the ocean from the porch table. There was a full kitchen, which was handy. The place smelled like cigarettes; we bought fabreeze and that helped. If you smoke, I suppose the smell might not bother you. We also had a parking mix-up because the spots weren’t clearly marked. A good option for an inexpensive off-season vacation.

The apartment smelled of cigarette smoke and looked dirty. A door leading to a stairway and hallway outside wouldn’t lock. The fire detectors had no batteries and were left in the nightstand, the child locks on the cabinet under the sink were broken, and granite slabs were sticking out, making it unsafe for my toddler. We were so uncomfortable that we found somewhere else to stay and asked for a refund. They refused and basically said we’d signed up for it, despite the unsafe conditions. I will NEVER stay there or at any of their properties. I highly do not recommend this place.
