The people were a bright spot. Jess at the front desk is a jewel, welcoming, kind, and very good at her job. The woman working breakfast was lovely too. Several basic fixes are overdue. Room 107’s door is badly out of shape and hard to open or close; the damage to the door jamb suggests it’s been that way a long time. The desk chair in that room constantly grates and squeaks, so it needs lubricant or replacing. The old key card system also drops the door code at least once a day, meaning cards have to be re-keyed frequently. Breakfast was another disappointment: the eggs, omelets, and bacon were all overcooked and rubbery. I’ve had soft, moist, fluffy eggs at plenty of hotels, so this shouldn’t be difficult. The lack of basic maintenance feels like plain neglect.

I stay here every week and wish they’d add the golf channel. There are four or five Spanish-language channels, including soccer, but no golf. How about a channel for American golfers?

I tried to stay here a second time, but the room condition meant I couldn’t. On my first visit, granola bars were jammed into the air conditioner and the room wasn’t very clean. I filled out a feedback form after that stay and never heard back from the hotel. Recently, I gave it another chance. As soon as I entered the room, I heard dripping in the bathroom. The shower faucet leaked, and the blue tub was chipped. They couldn’t move me to another room, so at 9:30 pm I had to find another hotel nearby. I won’t be back.

The view is glorious, and everything you need is within walking distance. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the hot breakfast was delicious with a good variety. We highly recommend the hotel and will definitely return.
