Holiday Inn Express & Suites Olive Branch by IHG

The staff were exceptional. The front desk woman was friendly at check-in, extra towels arrived immediately when I called, and when the elevator went out around 8pm, they got right on it and had it fixed within hours. Everyone we met was nice. Breakfast was plentiful and very good, with a variety of choices for our family. The dining area was clean and food was replenished quickly. Our third-floor suite was spacious and very clean, but it was lopsided enough that it felt like walking sideways. I was shocked since no reviews mentioned this. There’s very little closet space, just three hooks between the TV and the closet, which holds the safe and the pullout sofa bedding. We’d probably stay again, but ask for a first-floor room on the opposite side from check-in to try to avoid another slanted room.

Everything here was fantastic: the staff were incredibly friendly, the rooms very clean, and breakfast phenomenal. It also cost less than the places down the street. I almost didn’t want to leave a great review because I’d love to keep this place to myself.

We stay here once or twice a year while passing through, and it’s always very nice. The breakfast is good, with healthy options too. But I’m a southern girl, and when sausage gravy and biscuits are available, I’m not passing them up.

The receptionist was polite and apologized, but there was nothing she could do to help us. After driving 12 hours to Memphis for a memorial service, we checked in and went straight out to see family. When we got back late, there was urine by the toilet and paint peeling in the bathroom. I tried calling the desk, then found the room phone was broken, so I went to sleep. Around 7:30 the next morning, my husband spotted a roach in the bathroom. I told the desk right away, but the other rooms weren't cleaned yet, so I was asked to wait for housekeeping. I packed our things and waited until 9. While sitting on the bed for my morning devotionals, I saw another roach crawling across it. I screamed and left in my pajamas. We had to sit in the car calling around for a room that fit our budget and was in a safe area. It was a huge inconvenience. I wouldn't recommend staying here until they change their standards and processes.
