Host Chris and Jennifer Wagner welcome you to their private cottage , The Heron House. We are a private cottage on the shores of Eld Inlet in the southern most inlet on Puget Sound. Our bed and breakfast offers complete privacy and a continental plus breakfast that is placed in your cottage just prior to your arrival . When you have breakfast is when you want to, early or late. The morning newspaper will be at your door when you get up. We welcome you to enjoy any and all of the amenities avalable here. Kayaking, beachcombing, relaxing by the water or in the back yard gardens by the waterfalls and ponds, hanging in the hammock by the bay or sitting on the deck next to the water. Coffee and a coffee maker were provided, along with a small selection of cereal. We went out for breakfast instead. The guest house has a great atmosphere, though the bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom downstairs. The owner hadn’t realized we were coming, even with an email confirmation, but it all worked out okay.

The house is impressive, with a log cabin feel that seems like a dream, and the location is beautiful and very private. It was generally better than the photos. It can be hard to find, and cooking is challenging without a stove. An outdoor grill would be fantastic. Beach access is great, though it wasn’t clearly advertised that it’s behind another property. We would have booked it anyway, and loved it, but that part was unexpected.

We had lots of privacy, and the cabin was clean and comfortable, with a nice fireplace already lit when we arrived. It’s a beautiful setting and felt like great value for a short getaway. I hope we can go again soon.

My fiance and I stayed at the Heron House and were blown away by it. The cabin was beautiful and had thoughtful touches, and the hospitality was warm. We could take the free kayaks whenever we wanted. Such an incredible experience, we’d recommend this spot to anyone and everyone. We’ll be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed the evening my wife and I spent at the Heron House. It’s secluded and remote, peaceful in the woods, and very well appointed. The house was as comfortable as an old sweater that keeps you warm in any weather. I can imagine spending a few months there writing a best seller. Absolutely astonishing place.
