I’m surprised the rating is only 3.8. Our room was clean and nice, and the service was excellent. We travel as a family every year, and this was the first hotel where we found several hot breakfast options, including ground beef, corn tortillas, onions, tomatoes, and shredded cheese to make tacos. There was watermelon too, which our daughter loved. Someone brought us chocolate treats during breakfast, and the staff member cleared our plates. We’d recommend staying here.

We’d stayed here for years, and this last visit was such a letdown that we’ll need to find somewhere else for trips to the zoo or to see family. The hotel smelled bad, our room was dirty, and the pool needs maintenance and probably repairs. The breakfast area was filthy too. We had a two-room suite with a pullout couch, but when the kids were ready for bed there weren’t any linens for it. The room phone was plugged in but didn’t work, so I called the desk on my own phone. The receptionist said everything was in the dirty laundry and they had nothing; when I asked why they were selling rooms without clean bedding, she offered only one sheet. The AC in the second room rattled like it had loose screws all night. I hope the new management takes this seriously and does better.

I needed a place to recover during a trip after my sister got sick, and we were able to stay until she felt well enough for us to travel again. That mattered a lot. The staff were professional, friendly, and accommodating, and I felt comfortable, with great hot water pressure. They also had swimming and a really good breakfast. The accommodations pleased me, and I’d recommend this place.

There were loud guests outside our room for half the night, and someone banged on our door at 4 a.m. The front desk did nothing. The room was dirty, with quick patch jobs on the floors and nearly every wall. The fridge and microwave didn’t work, and they offered no way to keep our food cold; the ice machine was down too. Someone had peed by the elevators, and housekeeping used the same regular mop there and then continued mopping the rest of the area. The pool had no towels, and breakfast was missing most of its items.
