Quality Inn Omaha

The staff were great and did the best they could with what they had. The Shark Lounge is pretty nice, with several pool tables, and the pizzas we ordered were pretty good. The rooms could use updating, though they seemed clean. At 1:00 am, our air conditioner stopped working and we had to switch rooms across the hall. The new room had a better shower and hot tub, but the shower wouldn’t drain and nearly overflowed before I finished. I was also disappointed that staff didn’t enforce adult swim from 10:00 to 11:00 pm, since kids were in the pool at all hours. It was okay, could’ve been worse, but I’m not sure I’d stay again.

The pool was in decent shape and busy every evening, and we got to play pool for free at the bar next door. Drinks there were reasonably priced. Breakfast was warm and free, but not very good, powdered eggs and that sort of thing. The free golf simulator was broken. I wouldn’t recommend the place unless you’re on a really tight budget. Our room looked dated, the carpet was dirty, there was still trash under the beds, and some lamp bulbs were burned out or missing.

The hotel was remarkably quiet. We didn’t hear any hallway noise, maybe because of how the rooms are laid out, and I’d definitely stay here again. Breakfast was great, and the indoor pool and hot tub are large. We were in town for the Swimming Olympic Trials, and this hotel cost about half what similar places nearby did. I hated that our room was a smoking room, though I think I booked it that way by accident, so we put up with it and didn’t ask to switch.

The lobby was nice and there were lots of amenities, but the place isn’t well maintained. The hallways are tiny. At the restaurant, the only bartender and waitress mostly ignored me, and she was sick and coughing near the food. The bathroom light worked only sometimes, and the bed was hard as a rock. I won’t stay here again.
