Comfort Inn Sw Omaha I-80

The front desk staff are absolutely awesome, friendly, and accommodating. I’m picky about breakfast and rarely eat it at hotels, but I had the eggs every morning here. The bed was unusually soft and comfortable, and the room seemed clean until I dropped something and looked under the bed. The bathroom floor wasn’t great either.

We had a nice little getaway and enjoyed the jacuzzi tub. The room was small, but clean and cozy. Breakfast was lovely, and the complimentary lemon water was much appreciated. Extending breakfast hours on the weekend was a great idea.

We were traveling because of a death in the family, so the suite upgrade they gave us on arrival meant the world. We’d picked this Omaha Comfort Inn because we’ve never had a bad experience at one, and this stay didn’t disappoint. The lobby was clean and smelled fresh, and our room was fantastic, with clean bedding and an extremely clean jetted tub. They’d even folded the towels into a fan. We got to breakfast just in time and enjoyed delicious eggs, sausage, and biscuits and gravy. The area was clean, and the staff were very kind even with guests leaving messes and being rude to them. Thank you for making a hard trip so much better.

UPDATE: The overnight employee was kind and helpful, and when the manager came in the morning, she listened to the problems, apologized, and said she’d speak with the new housekeeper and maintenance. She offered me another night so I could actually enjoy the hotel, including the jetted tub and pool. They were under new management and doing a lot of remodeling, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and may come back later to see how things are. They did more than make up for the awful first night, though I didn’t get much rest or enjoyment out of it. I’d booked this place for my birthday because I wanted a room with a jetted tub, and the reviews and photos looked good. At first the room was spacious and clean, though the shower pressure was poor. After shopping and dinner, I tried to fill and start the tub, but the button sank and stuck without turning it on. A staff member called maintenance; after about ten minutes, he came up, tried the breakers in the room, then went to get tools. I was offered a first-floor room, but after waiting another 10-15 minutes I called again. The maintenance worker tried a voltage checker and still couldn’t find the problem. Then the tub suddenly started, loudly, while every light flickered. I asked him to wait until I could leave, but he kept working on it. When I asked again so I could gather my things and change, he picked up his tools and stomped out. I apologized even though I shouldn’t have had to, and explained I just wanted a relaxing birthday soak. The staff member helped me move to another room, but it was a quarter of the size, the tub was half as big, and even the cart didn’t fit. It smelled bad, with big wall patches by the floor, duct tape holding things together, holes where lights should have been, and broken, dirty tiles by the shower. The tub was dirty, the tables hadn’t been cleaned, and there was a long black clump of dried hair on the bathroom floor. At 11 p.m., I was sitting in my car wondering what to do. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and a terrible part of my birthday.
