I ended up paying for two hotel rooms because the hotel wouldn't accommodate my father, who'd recently had a stroke and couldn't walk. I only needed the room for six hours, arriving in Ontario in the middle of the night and leaving by 7 a.m. When I booked through Priceline, the building was listed as ADA accommodating. I called to confirm because I was traveling with my father, and the front desk said I was assigned a second-floor room. When I asked about an elevator, they said there wasn't one. I tried to cancel, but was told the booking was nonrefundable and to contact Priceline. Priceline reached out to management and said the manager would be back the next day and they'd follow up. I heard nothing. When I contacted Priceline again, they said the manager wanted me to call the hotel. The hotel then told me there was no need for an elevator because my room was on the first floor. Earlier, they'd said second floor. Staff said the manager had left notes about the filing and that there'd be no refund because I was in a first-floor room. They refused reimbursement and lied about where my room was. The manager's integrity was extremely disappointing. Integrity matters.

They were dog friendly, had a good-sized fridge, and there was a comfortable desk, which I need for work. We missed breakfast because we woke up late, so I can't comment on it. The rooms are a little dated. I'm pretty sure the overhead light was installed in 1940, and I think I saw the same fixture on "fallout". The staff were friendly and helpful. When we lost our car key and couldn't move on, they gave us a discount on the room, which was very nice of them. I'm heading to the hot tub now. My only complaint is that a spider bit me. I know that could happen anywhere, but maybe they should spray. I don't like spiders.

After feeling like we'd lost $100 here years ago, I now feel they're actually trying to earn the money. The new manager, JJ, seems amazing, the rooms smell much better, and the price is right. They've visibly repaired and repainted rooms, every door we tried worked, and it was nice to see a lot of the same faces from before. Changing management seems to have made a big difference. They should advertise the new manager on the sign. If we'd known, we wouldn't have stayed at Best Western, since we enjoy the breakfast at Quality much more. My wife and I had a subpar experience a few years back, and it drove us and our group away. This recent stay felt much less hostile. If you were burned before, it's worth giving it another shot.

We waited more than an hour at night with the kids, with nobody at the front desk. Doors stood wide open, random people were walking around at 2 AM, the hallways were dark, and some doors were zip-tied so they couldn't close. It felt abandoned and unsafe. Hotels.com tried calling for two hours and couldn't reach anyone. There was no staff available to take back our room key. The manager, Joshua Jones, was rude and hung up on me. Avoid this place.

For the price, I wasn't impressed. It felt like a motel where people live rather than a place to stay on vacation. The room was pretty dirty, with visible grime and stains everywhere, and the paint was chipping. They also tried to charge me twice for the $50 cleaning deposit. They said the property was accessible, but my wheelchair couldn't fit through the narrow pool door, and there was a big dip just beyond it. They didn't warn guests that the front parking lot was being repaved, so there was no way to get to the front desk.
