The main drawback was the carpet, which had a strong damp smell. I also needed more outlets. There wasn't a spare one for the microwave, so using it meant unplugging either the bedside lamp or the refrigerator. Apart from that, it wasn't bad for a one-night stay. The room was spacious and nice, with a comfortable bed that was a little smaller than I expected. The bathroom had what we needed, including small bottles of shampoo and soap, and there was a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. A young woman at the office made check-in easy. Our room was up the stairs near the far end of the building.

The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and spacious. The price was right, and they have pet rooms with hardwood floors. A late-night shout-out to the front desk guy who took care of things when another guest was playing loud bass-heavy music at midnight. We appreciated it. It's an older hotel with outdoor entrances and a few minor repairs needed. The pool is only open in summer, and breakfast is limited.

On our way back from Portland, we stayed at the Super 8 in Ontario, OR after a lovely stay at the Super 8 in Baker City on the way there. The Baker City place had great service, was clean, served a nice breakfast, and was a good value. Choosing Ontario was a bad mistake. This hotel is a dump and looks nothing like the photos. The rooms are old, with mold around the ceiling and gray, cracked spackle around the toilet and tub. There was a dining room chair instead of an easy chair by the reading lamp, and a long black hair in the sink, even though my husband and I both have short white hair. There was no real breakfast: just a container of cereal on the lobby counter, with no milk, bowls, spoons, or employee available. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here.

We found some hair and stains on a pillow during our room check, but decided to give the motel a chance. Then the other person staying with us felt something crawling under the blanket and found a bed bug. We packed immediately and left. Management first tried to move us to another room, but we did get a refund. The motel looked very different from what Google presents, and it isn't worth your time, effort, or money. Just don't stay here.

The bed vibrated all night because the floor was vibrating, which was bizarre. There were no amenities, and the room needs a lot of work: plaster on the wall and a huge stain on the chair that looked like someone had peed on it. The pet fee was also ridiculous. Maybe it should depend on the pet's size. Twenty-five dollars is crazy, especially after seeing the room.
