After a 12-hour drive from Tennessee, I was worn out, so the clean room and spotless pool and hot tub were just what I needed to unwind. Check-in was easy, thanks to the lovely husband-and-wife hosts. I appreciate the work they put into making my stay comfortable. With service like that, I’d stay again 10 out of 10 times.

I had to stay overnight because of an electricity problem. As a local renter, I had to pay the $100 deposit, but everyone treated me very nicely. Thanks to Mark for everything. The night auditor asked me to come back later for the refund, and they did return the $100. The place was clean, with lots of workers there for the refinery construction. I’d come back if we had another problem.

The breakfast buffet had a great spread every morning, from bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, eggs, potatoes, hash browns, oatmeal and yogurt to fruit, muffins, croissants, bagels, waffles, juice, coffee and milk. Housekeeping also did a great job with fresh towels and linens. For downtime, there’s a gym, plus an indoor pool kept at room temperature and an amazing Jacuzzi. I had a great stay at this Orange, Texas location, and exercising and relaxing here were both good ways to spend time and relieve stress.

I checked out and moved to the Comfort Suites. The roach infestation in the room was bad, the floors were extremely dirty, and there were hairs from previous guests in both the toilet and sink. The lobby and halls smelled of mold and dog urine, and the whole hotel badly needs renovation. At $140+, the rate felt overpriced, and the stay was highly unsettling. The front desk staff were unfriendly and lacked basic hospitality. My company won’t stay here again.

The room my husband and son were given smelled strongly of pet urine, which made their stay uncomfortable. I’m writing on my husband’s behalf because I wasn’t listed as a registered guest, though I was there for the incidents. He’d booked through Priceline for our son’s baseball tournament and explained at check-in that only he and our son were staying overnight. I planned to leave after dinner with our other two children. When I took them to the pool, an employee said we couldn’t use it since we weren’t registered guests. I disagreed, especially with young children involved, but respected the request and left. Later, another family from our team, who were staying at the hotel too, joined us in the lobby for a quiet game of Uno. The same employee called the police, reportedly saying there was a fight. Officers found no altercation, but our friends were still asked to leave the property. It was a disappointing experience and didn’t feel welcoming or family-friendly.
