Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Orlando Airport, FL

We picked this hotel because it advertised a hot tub, and I called to confirm before booking. After an early flight the next morning, the location worked well, but the rest of the stay was a mess. The lobby was packed with guests saying their rooms hadn't been cleaned after the previous stays. We waited 45 minutes in line to check in, after 8pm, then got a dirty room with trash, a beer bottle, and unmade beds. We had to wait for another room. Once we finally settled in, we found the hot tub was ice cold.

I've stayed here a couple of times, most recently a week ago, and I'll use it again when flying out of Orlando. The airport shuttle is convenient, and the staff are nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good, with staff regularly bringing out fresh hot food, and the coffee was good too. Check-in was quick with my reservation. My room was clean and comfortable, and quieter than I expected for a place fairly close to the airport flight paths. There was plenty of hot water, and the showerhead was excellent.

Paola and the other women working in the restaurant were kind. Paola was especially friendly and helpful, really the only bright spot here. I wouldn't recommend this hotel, especially for families or anyone planning a long stay. We were there for 15 days, and the experience was terrible. The room and hallways smelled strongly of dampness. Air fresheners didn't cover it, and our clothes started smelling like humidity and mold. There's little room for clothes and no in-room safe. Rooms aren't cleaned daily unless you request housekeeping at the front desk, and even then the bedsheets weren't changed. Towels weren't replaced without a request either. Airplanes taking off and landing were clearly audible from 5:30 am, making it hard to rest. They don't accept cash, so every payment has to be by debit or credit card. Luggage storage before the strictly enforced 3:00 pm check-in costs $15 plus tax. The elevator operating certificate appeared expired, outdated since August 2025, and it was now January. That raised serious safety concerns for us.

It's been over a week, and Chase still hasn't been able to verify the "notes" because the hotel keeps hanging up on them. I booked through Chase, and when I asked for a refund so I could leave, the hotel said it couldn't refund me but would make notes in the system so I could ask Chase. They offered nothing for the inconvenience. I wonder if they'd charge another day if I checked out three hours late. Check-in was at 3:00 PM, but I didn't get a key until after 7:00 PM, along with other guests waiting in the lobby. The hotel was filthy and short staffed. A dog kennel would be better. I'm thinking about reporting it to the health department.
