We had a very good stay and would come back. The staff were lovely, the facilities were clean, and the price felt good for a big trip. Our suite bed was comfortable, the bunk bed worked well for my child, and the refrigerator was fine. The air conditioning got cold, though it was a little noisy, so we raised the setting at night to keep it from cycling so often. The elevators were slow, but not to an annoying degree. Breakfast had plenty to choose from: Mickey waffles, oatmeal and yogurt, bagels and toast, two kinds of fresh fruit, scrambled eggs with toppings, bacon or sausage, and another side such as hash or grits. It was kept well stocked. Our room was cleaned every day and the towels were changed, usually by about 2 PM, which I appreciate since some hotels stopped doing that after Covid. The pool was clear and a comfortable temperature, the hot tub was nice, and there were lots of chairs. With the hotel around the pool, there was plenty of shade too. The Disney parks are close, about a 10 minute drive to Epcot. Getting around does take some planning, though. If you want to reach the parks for rope drop or go to Disney Springs, you’ll need a rideshare or a rental car. The free shuttle leaves at park opening, at 9 or 10 AM, offers only about three return times, and has to be reserved 24 hours ahead. We rented a car at the last minute because we wanted more flexibility.
The people I dealt with were all so nice and helpful, and I’d definitely stay here again. My room was comfortable, with a good bed, microwave, and mini fridge. The TV didn’t work, which could bother some guests, but I didn’t mind. Breakfast was complimentary, with lots of food to pick from, and Disney World was nearby.
The price was low, but the hotel felt run down and poorly managed, and I’d look elsewhere for similar money. The mattress was worn, the furniture and many breakfast seats were torn, and the breakfast itself was a standard continental spread. It also needs renovation, and two of the three elevators were out when I visited. Parking cost $25 per night. The woman who checked me in wasn’t especially welcoming or friendly.
The location is very convenient for the parks, but the guest service and billing were far below what I’d expect from a Marriott property. I was charged more than $105 for parking despite not having a car during my stay. This is the second time it has happened at this hotel. I raised it with the front desk at checkout, and the associate said it would be corrected, but the charge stayed on my credit card. I also tried to resolve the matter by phone. The operator sounded rushed and impatient, as if they wanted to end the call rather than help. Spanish is my first language, and as an international traveler I know conversations can take a little extra patience. I didn’t feel the staff made an effort to work through the language barrier. In Latin America, hospitality workers often try to make visitors comfortable by listening carefully, smiling, and finding a solution together. I missed that warmth and willingness to help here. Even the arrival felt cold and transactional. Nobody explained the breakfast hours, park transportation, hotel amenities, or how to reach certain areas. I’ve worked in luxury hospitality for years and travel often between Mexico, Europe, and the United States. Orlando welcomes millions of international visitors to Disney and Universal, and the guest experience starts at check-in. Clear communication matters. I’m proud of the warmth with which people in Latin America welcome visitors. Hospitality means making guests feel valued, informed, and cared for, not simply giving them a room. Charging for something a guest didn’t use and then failing to fix it after it’s reported is unacceptable. I hope Marriott management reviews the service, staff training, and billing accuracy. Hospitality is measured by how guests are treated when they need help, and this fell short of what I expect from a Marriott-branded hotel.
We booked this hotel for its location near Disney and Universal Studios and the shuttle service. At first things were good: it was clean, the rooms were nice, and breakfast was pleasant. Then one night we returned from the parks around 11:30 PM and found a note pushed under our door saying the water would be off from 11 PM until 6 AM. It was already off by the time we got back. After a long, hot day walking around a theme park, guests need to be able to shower. The toilets had no running water either, which made the night really frustrating. The water still wasn’t back at 6 AM as promised; it came on around 8. We had to delay leaving for the parks, and getting to Disney or Universal early makes a big difference to the day. That delay wrecked our morning plans. This was unacceptable and shameful management. I wouldn’t recommend the place if you’re visiting the parks and need basic services to be reliable.
