Four Points by Sheraton Orlando Convention Center

The breakfast itself was decent, though nothing special. The service was painfully slow the next morning, possibly because a cheerleading convention had brought a big crowd. We waited more than 25 minutes just for a waitress to take our order. The front desk staff, by contrast, were friendly and very good from the moment we arrived. Our room had a strange odor, almost like burnt plastic, which I found really unpleasant. The pillows were very flat, there weren’t enough towels, and the bathroom was small and poorly ventilated, so it stayed hot and steamy after a shower. I also didn’t like finding housekeeping cards asking for tips. I do tip, but asking for money that way felt tacky and unnecessary. The facilities seemed dated, and the elevator felt old, cramped, and a little intimidating. For the price, the hotel was adequate, but the rooms and housekeeping need work. There are quite a few things here that could be improved.

We were there over Christmas 2025, booked from 12/25/2025 to 12/30/2025. The next morning, the supervisor showed little concern for what had happened. He offered one free breakfast for one day or 10,000 Bonvoy points, which felt insulting given the problem. Asking for a full refund met resistance, and in the end we had to contact Hotels.com ourselves to get a partial refund. Hotels.com helped us, not the hotel. The trouble started when we came back from dinner late on our first night and found a large flying cockroach in the room. Since it was late and we had no immediate alternative, we complained at the front desk. They moved us to another room and called it an “upgrade,” but it was basically the same worn-out room. We were so uncomfortable that we didn’t sleep, worried there might be more cockroaches. The whole property feels extremely outdated and poorly maintained, from the building and elevators to the rooms. The carpet was dirty and worn, which should have been a warning. This place has serious cleanliness and customer service problems. If hygiene, comfort, and respectful treatment matter to you when something goes wrong, I strongly recommend staying somewhere else.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and in good shape, so we had a decent stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Orlando Convention Center. The shared areas left a worse impression: hallway floors and trash cans didn’t seem to get cleaned regularly. Check-in could also move faster if they staffed more than one person. With more consistent attention to the common spaces, this could be a much better hotel.

The rooms could use a refresh. They felt dated, the lighting was dim, and the carpets smelled unpleasant while the floors felt sticky. Cleanliness wasn’t what we expected. Monica at the front desk was the standout for us. She was incredibly sweet and welcoming, and her professionalism and kindness made a real difference. The gentleman in the restaurant also gave very good service. The staff left a positive impression, but the condition, lighting, and cleanliness of the rooms need attention.
