Villatel Orlando Resort, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy

The pool area was spotless, with plenty of loungers and lovely heated water. There’s also a shop on site for essentials. Our rooms were immaculate, spacious, bright, modern, clean, and comfortable. We stayed six nights and didn’t hear any noise, despite complaints I’d seen about it. The staff were excellent and the facilities were great. I was a little hesitant because we booked a year in advance and had seen some bad reviews. I travel a lot and stay in very nice places, but I can’t see why this place got those reviews. It’s perfectly situated for Universal and also works for Disney. Shuttles leave three times in the morning. They say to book, but in reality they just let you on. I really couldn’t have asked for more and would absolutely visit again.

The resort was secure and quiet, which was especially nice after 14-hour days at the parks. Universal Studios is about 10 minutes away and Disney about 25 minutes. The room itself was excellent, a three-bedroom, two-bathroom unit. If you’ll spend most of your time at the theme parks, though, this may not be the best choice because the resort fees add up. There are great activities on the property if you’re staying there. Most of the service was good. We tried several times to get more body soap, but staff had trouble telling it apart from hair conditioner, and we ended up with a bottle of conditioner instead.

We decided on a last-minute staycation and it turned out to be a great call. Our family of three had plenty of room in the three-bedroom, two-bath apartment, with a kitchen, dining area, and living room. I loved the decor and color scheme in each room. The property is beautiful, with lots of parking and spacious apartments, plus expansive amenities. We ate breakfast on the screened-in patio and had so much fun going around the lazy river on a hot, sunny Florida day. It’s a new Marriott property. We’ll definitely return, and I highly recommend it.

The concierge went above and beyond to arrange a Batman-themed room for my son’s birthday, along with two more bedrooms for the family. Our balcony overlooked the lake and waterpark, and the kids loved the playground, multi-water slides, and the ice cream truck on site. The apartments were brand new, modern, and spotless, and the staff were very courteous. The location was perfect, just a few minutes from the parks. My family and I had an amazing stay at Villatel Orlando Resort. It’s a fun, relaxing, kid-friendly place for families visiting Orlando.
