Wingate by Wyndham - Orlando International Airport

For a quick overnight between our flight and cruise, this was good value and did the job. The airport shuttle was a major plus, and there are several restaurants within walking distance, so we could get dinner without arranging a ride. Check-in was quick and easy, and the front desk staff were polite and welcoming. The room was comfortable and a reasonable size for one night. The beds were good and everything worked, though we noticed a few minor maintenance issues. The lobby feels newer and more modern than the rooms, which seem older. A convenient airport hotel with a reliable shuttle is a good fit for a short stay before or after traveling.

There are restaurants, a few shops, and a Walgreens within walking distance, which came in handy. The staff were polite and knew their stuff. We stayed three nights and were content with it. Breakfast was just basic, nothing fancy or impressive. The pool is small and lacking, though I can see kids enjoying it. The gym and whirlpool seemed well kept, and a few people were using those rooms. For the price, I’d stay here again, even with several other hotels nearby.

Breakfast was only okay, and the eggs had no flavor. Still, I’d definitely stay here again. I spent one night during a layover, and the hotel was immaculate, with Christmas decorations up. The rooms are huge, the showers are spacious and nice, and there are lights behind the mirrors. The beds were so comfortable I didn’t want to get up. For the price, it’s an excellent choice for one night or even two or three days. It’s only 3 minutes from the airport, and the free shuttle runs back and forth. There’s also a large TV in the lobby showing live arrivals and departures and schedules within the United States.

A few things in the room needed maintenance. The entry light didn’t work, and the tub tap was very hard to turn off, so it kept dripping for a long time after a shower. We may have been at fault for the temperature issue, but on one of the coldest nights in Orlando, we had a hard time adjusting it and cold air kept blowing. This was a pleasant overnight stop between our flight and cruise. The room was comfortable and reasonable, check-in was easy and very polite, and there are restaurants nearby within walking distance. The hotel shuttle picked us up from the airport in no more than 15 minutes, which impressed us.
