Fairfield Inn & Suites Anniston Oxford

I’ve stayed in thousands of hotels and motels across the country over the years, including some awful and traumatic places and some that were just okay or good. This one tops them all. The customer service was amazing, and I had no complaints. The staff felt like family, and they put out pink lemonade and cookies all day. The breakfast was the best five-star breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. I’m so grateful for such a luxurious stay while traveling for work. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m looking forward to coming back soon.

The people are what make this place good. The staff were so nice that I didn’t mind the smell in the hotel. There’s a delicious Mexican joint within walking distance, and I’ll stay here again when I’m traveling.

Breakfast had a lot of options, including nuts and seeds, fresh and dried fruit, hard-boiled and scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, cereal, bagels in three flavors, muffins, biscuits and gravy, coffee, juice, yogurt, and waffle makers. The bed was comfortable, the room was nicely decorated, and the TV greeted me personally.

The staff were nice, but there are at least eight better hotels right nearby. After a 14-hour drive, I was too tired to go anywhere else. The hotel is old and damp, with a musty smell. Paint was chipped, the curtains were torn and stained, and the furniture was stained too. The carpet in my room was soaked from a leaky AC unit, and the popcorn ceilings are outdated. The bathroom was dirty, with dried urine pooled and staining the toilet. Breakfast was bad, with watery scrambled eggs and little pieces of overcooked bacon. See pictures.
