After driving for seven hours, I desperately needed a bathroom at 10:50 p.m. on May 29, with another hour and a half still to go. I normally avoid public restrooms, but I was in a tough spot. The night shift woman saw the bathroom sign too, yet told me there was no public bathroom. I explained how badly I needed it, and she still turned me away and suggested places that were already closed. It felt like she had no compassion at all. I hope she never has to be refused help when she needs it most. I tried three other places before Comfort Inn came through for me. I’ll remember that when I need a place to stay. Seeing a Days Inn now leaves a bitter taste.
