Hampton Inn Channel Islands Harbor/Oxnard

The balconies were a real treat for watching the sunset, and there was plenty of beach access nearby. We could walk to a local pizza place that was delicious. The gym was spotless and had more options than most hotel gyms I’ve used. Everyone on staff was sweet and welcoming, and the rooms looked recently renovated. I travel often for work, and this Hampton Inn has become one of my favorites. I’d absolutely come back.

The marina views are beautiful, and the hotel is nearly finished with its renovation. My room was spacious, modern, and very clean. The new A/C kept it comfortable, and breakfast was hot and about what you’d expect. The staff were wonderful and accommodating, and really tried to make sure the stay went well.

Check-in was quick, and the receptionist was nice and helpful. The room was clean, had plenty of space, and came with a nice balcony. The bed and pillows were fantastic, and the shower had the thoughtful design you’d expect at a high-end hotel. Breakfast had hot vegetarian egg options and yogurt, though there wasn’t a yogurt bar. It’s pet friendly, so avoid the first-floor rooms if you don’t want a room that may have had a pet in it. Room 315’s cooling system and fan weren’t working and need service. I’ll raise my rating to five stars once I get confirmation they’re repaired. Thanks.

From our balcony, we could see the boats in the Harbor and a gorgeous sunset. The room was clean, and the view was outstanding. The front desk staff were caring and went out of their way to give us excellent service. Hampton Inn Channel Islands was fabulous.
