We were promised a clean, safe room, but what we found fell far below basic health and cleanliness standards. I was traveling with two toddlers, and after checking in around 11 p.m. last night, we found visible black mold on the bed and inside the air conditioner. Its front panel was lying on the floor. Both mattresses also showed signs of mold, the sheets were dirty, and we saw what appeared to be bed bugs. There was hair on the sink, toilet, and bathtub. I took photos and videos of all of it. We reported the problems at the front desk, but nothing was resolved, so we had to leave and find somewhere else to stay. I asked for a full refund and am still waiting for someone to get back to us and fix this.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this was one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at. We called ahead to reserve rooms, then learned at check-in that there was a $100 deposit that nobody had mentioned on the phone. They also charged $20 for my pet after telling us it would be $10. The floor was sticky and looked poorly mopped, and the towels had stains. Before bed, an outlet sparked when we tried to turn off the lights, cutting power to half the room. Staff fixed it after we reported it, but it went out again before we left. The air conditioner barely worked even on its highest setting, and there were no room phones, which felt unsafe. The website said there would be a pool and breakfast, but neither was available. That felt like false advertising. I won’t come back and wouldn’t recommend this place.

We booked online about 115 minutes before arriving and paid just under $90. The listing promised continental breakfast. At check-in, the clerk said the rooms weren’t in great shape because of renovations. I said outdated was fine, but he explained there’d be no breakfast or coffee during the work. I asked for a discount and was told he couldn’t offer one since I’d already paid online. It was late, so we stayed anyway. The room was filthy. Soot coated the floors, there was dried vomit on the carpet, and clumps of pet fur and dust were in the air conditioner blower and bathroom vent. The toilet seat had dried dark and white gunk on it. Luckily, I had Clorox wipes in the car. The luggage rack was so rusty I couldn’t use it. I can live with outdated, but not filth. I barely slept, and there’s no excuse for that condition. I’ll never stay at another Days Inn. Shame on Wyndham for letting one of its hotels get this dirty.

The location worked well, but we’d booked our rooms and still waited an extremely long time. There was no elevator, and we don’t understand why disabled guests couldn’t get first-floor rooms during the off season.

At 2 a.m., after being on the road all day, I found someone hiding under the blankets on the bed in our room. I can’t believe I stayed after that, but I was exhausted. They moved us to another room, which was the nastiest place I’ve ever stayed. It reeked of cigarette smoke, had stains everywhere, and a dead bug under the bed. The area underneath clearly hadn’t been vacuumed in ages. There was no soap or TV remote, and the fridge hadn’t been cleaned out. I begged my friend not to shower, but he did anyway. I spent $108 on this disgusting room. I checked for bed bugs and saw no signs, at least.
