The staff were friendly, and the location was convenient. Everything else was disappointing. The grime in the room made it seem like they only replace the sheets and towels, without cleaning properly. I booked through the Choice Hotels app with points while driving to the area and hadn’t checked the reviews, which was my mistake. I’m going to sleep fully dressed and skip showering here. Don’t make the same mistake.

We had a comfortable, just-right room, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The location was great, with lots of restaurants nearby. We stayed for two weekend nights, and the price was very reasonable.

The morning coffee bar was nice, though the room itself was very basic. It felt dated and could use clean, new furniture, and the pillows were tiny. When the maintenance guy came to fix our TV at 8:30 pm, he seemed put out about having to do it. I think there are better options in Paducah.

The man at the desk was really friendly and helpful, apologized about the room, and offered to move us. They refunded our money, so I have no complaint about that. Still, I couldn’t trust that another room would be better maintained, so we left. The sheets had hair on them, there was a piece of trash behind a door and another on the floor by the toilet, and the smell was bad. We looked around and decided we definitely weren’t sleeping there. There were several unsavory men hanging around in the hallway and outside, which made me very uncomfortable even during the short time we were there.

The room was clean and the staff were nice. I called the front desk to ask for a late checkout, and he said I could stay until 11:30. That’s about the usual checkout time.
