The rooms barely blocked sound. I could hear conversations, footsteps, and even a man coughing next door at 4:00 a.m. as though he were right there with me, so getting a decent night's sleep was nearly impossible. We were next to a large group with seven energetic children. Staff called them about the noise, but it stopped only briefly and then started again. We raised our concerns but weren’t allowed to switch rooms. The issue wasn’t the guests themselves, but the poor soundproofing. The pool area was also a problem. It seemed open to anyone who could get in, with no apparent count of how many people were using it. Large groups of locals showed up, some seeming to number 20 to 30 people. After a second big group entered through a back door, we left the pool area. The property didn’t feel secure either. It looked open to the public, so anyone could walk through, and management didn’t seem to keep track of how many people were in each room. The website photos were deceiving. I wouldn’t stay again. There are better priced Airbnb options nearby, and I’ll probably book through VRBO next time.

The Ramada in Painesville, Kentucky was quiet, well kept, and well located for seeing the surrounding area. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully laid out, with comfortable beds, WiFi, and the in-room conveniences we needed. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed warmly, and the staff went out of their way to make our visit comfortable. We had a wonderful stay from beginning to end. It felt like a home away from home, and the hotel offered great value and comfort. Whether you’re traveling for work, a weekend away, or with family, I’d highly recommend the Ramada in Painesville.

We had our baby with us this time, and the staff kindly brought a pack-n-play to our room. Dinner at the hotel and breakfast are always really good, and it was lovely seeing everything decorated for Christmas. We really enjoy staying here when we visit family in Salyersville. It’s close by, and the service is always top notch.

Everything is kept clean, orderly, and in good shape, and there are lots of amenities. It’s been around a long time and has a solid reputation. Although it’s listed as a 3 star hotel, it feels closer to 4 star to me. It’s the best hotel in both paintsville and prestonsburg, and if you travel often, you’ll notice right away that it isn’t a typical hotel.

The place is clean, the bed is comfy, and the staff are friendly. I loved the Christmas wonderland setup, and the pool was reasonably warm with both indoor and outdoor areas. There’s a nice hot tub too. Great place to stay!
