Hampton Inn & Suites Palm Desert

The only reason I'm giving one star is the hotel receptionist was kind and understanding when I said we wouldn't stay and wanted a refund. I'm used to Hampton Inn being a great place to stay, but this one didn't make the cut. The reviews let us down, this was not a four-star property. Maybe arriving late had something to do with it, or maybe we just had bad luck, but our room was gross. The carpet was sticky, the tub stained, and there was hair all over the bed, not just a few strands. We asked to switch rooms, and the second was just as bad. Its tub was rusted, the drain stopper broken, and there was an unknown sticky substance on the dresser and desk. I needed to bathe my toddler.

The staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful, every single one of them. My wife and I stayed four days and three nights, and this is hands down the best Hampton in the Hilton chain I've ever stayed at. The waffles at breakfast tasted better than some I've had at restaurants. There was a cookie bar around 4:30 and a hot chocolate bar on weekends during the holiday season. The heated pool made it just perfect. The rooms are a little dated, but still well worth it. Can't wait to go back.

A convenient, comfy, and safe place to stay in Palm Desert. The hotel room was clean and spacious for me and my boyfriend, with a soft bed, couch, microwave, and mini fridge. Staff were very friendly and polite. There's breakfast in the morning if you don't want to go out, and Starbucks, Jack in the Box, and a gas station are all a short walk away. I definitely recommend it.

The bed was comfortable, the pillows were the best I've had, not too hard, and my neck was very happy. Our room had HBO Max and other channels for free. The bathrooms were nice and clean, and online check-in was convenient since you could choose your floor and room. Breakfast was amazing, with meat, eggs, potatoes, make-your-own waffles, and more. Coffee and hot water for tea were available 24 hours. Bananas were out in the morning, and apples were available all day. Fresh cookies in the evening were a nice touch. You could also buy a glass of beer or wine with a push of a button. The pool and jacuzzi were great, and towels and swimming noodles were available by asking at the front desk. The employees were friendly and courteous. They should be five-star! Thank you, Hampton Inn.
