Best Western Inn Palm Springs

It's an older motel and hasn't been updated much, right up against a hill in beautiful Palm Springs. We stayed just one night, and although it's pet-friendly there aren't many pet areas. Breakfast was okay, but the eggs tasted kind of weird.

Dog-friendly is the icing on the cake, and we enjoyed the heated pool and spa even in the cool January weather. The price was especially good considering the premium location and extensive breakfast choices. It's an outstanding base, close to Palm Springs and area attractions, with great value for the money.

I stayed here in May 2021, and the poor upkeep was bad enough that I vowed not to return. So I was surprised to notice this morning that a reservation in my name had been made fraudulently for a stay beginning 2/6/2026. Even more suspicious, the booking and email confirmation were made the day before, on 2/5/2026. When I called the franchise owner this morning, 2/6/2026, I was rudely dismissed. Corporate Customer Service helped me kindly. After they contacted the franchise owner, C.S. said he claimed it was too late to cancel without a penalty, but that he would do me the courtesy of canceling without charge this time. That supposed courtesy doesn't change the suspicious short-notice booking. It leaves me wondering how the customer information needed to make a reservation was accessed.

The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and it wasn't too noisy, so I slept well. The pool area was comfortable, though many of the chair fabrics need repair. Breakfast was an 8.5/10, the mountain view was very nice, and the hot tub worked. The small refrigerator did its job, and the TV connected to HDMI and worked very well. There was a slight odor from the bathroom water, but it wasn't a big deal. For the price and location, it's one of the best deals in Palm Springs, and I'd stay again. The value is acceptable compared with the alternatives.
