Royal Sun Palm Springs

It was a nice stay in a town where lodging is overpriced. The poolside bar was pleasant, with quiet music, and I was surprised the water was heated in February. Bikes are free to borrow from the lobby, and communication by text was easy, with someone seeming to be around even though check-in is self-service. There are extra charges for checking in early or extending a stay. The hotel is a bit dated, though some parts have been updated. The single-pane windows make the AC work harder. Breakfast is served in a small restaurant that opens at 8 AM. The beds are soft but manageable. There's no coffee maker or microwave, just a hot water kettle and Steeped coffee bags. Akmed, who serves breakfast, is friendly and has a great attitude, though it seems he could use some help in the morning.

The pool was chill, and the bartender was nice and very good. Staff were friendly, dogs are allowed, and I slept great. The AC cranks and is easy to adjust. Beds are comfortable, though you can hear next door; luckily our neighbors were quiet. The rooms look fine, but don't look as nice in person as in the pictures. There's a decent hairdryer and a clothing steamer. The floor looked very worn, and the rug seemed uncleaned and smelled bad. The rooms feel like a smaller, used version of the online photos. The bathroom is split, with the sink outside the toilet and shower. Food is way overpriced: chicken nachos were $25 and had barely anything on them. Getting food by the pool or in the restaurant takes forever, and there's no room service. If you want a heated pool to relax by and good but pricey cocktails, this is a hotel not too far from downtown PS.

My girls booked this hotel for my bachelorette weekend, and we absolutely loved it. Joe in the front lobby helped us check in and shared all the information and little tips we needed. Christian at the pool bar was great and mixed us the best drinks. The rooms were cute and clean, and the staff were genuinely nice and helpful. We had a great time and would definitely come back.

The location worked well for everything we wanted to do in town, and the lobby staff were friendly and helpful even without a traditional front desk. Our family really enjoyed the stay. The rooms looked just as good in person as they did in the pictures, and the pool was great. We liked the drinks and food from the snack bar, too. Our reservation included complimentary breakfast at the High Moon, with a good variety of tasty options. The only small drawback was that breakfast doesn't start until 8 AM, so early risers have to wait a while.
