Coronet Motel

A simple motel with clean rooms and a great price. It’s an excellent spot for anything at Stanford University, an easy walk to campus and close to restaurants on California Street.

We’ll come back if we’re in the area for medical appointments, and I’d recommend this place to others traveling to Stanford for care. It’s family-run and great with kids. We didn’t use the pool because it was chilly, but it’ll be a plus for our children next time. The double queen room worked well for our family, and the fridge was bigger than a typical hotel mini-fridge. We could fit all the ice packs from our cooler in the freezer. I have fragrance sensitivities, so before booking I called several places. Most said no outright or didn’t know what products they used. Here, the person who answered could list the cleaning products right away and was willing to adjust the cleaning routine. They put us in a room that hadn’t been occupied the night before, which meant less cleaning product residue. It was my first hotel stay since developing sensitivities three years ago, and such a relief. I had no reaction at all.

We’ve come back several times because it’s comfortable, friendly, and always clean. Compared with other places in the area, the price is a real bargain.

A good location, with dated but clean rooms. The desk was useful for working, and the internet was fast.
