I never got as far as checking in. On the phone, she said they had a room big enough for us, and I told her I had service dogs. She called them pets and said no pets, then had to check with the manager. When she called back, she said they'd charge $10 a day per dog and asked for a certification card and documents. That's illegal in Texas, as is asking for those documents, and they violated HIPAA laws. She said it was their policy and the manager could do what they wanted. Laws take precedence over policies, and a business needs to understand them.

The desk attendant was kind and very helpful. The room did the basic job of giving us somewhere to sleep, and it beat spending the night in our car on the roadside. Still, there was a fake nail on the top blanket and a phone charger left behind. That made me think the room hadn't been cleaned, since a cleaner would have taken away both. They need to do a better job cleaning.

The exterior looks rough, but inside the rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds. Good price, pet friendly, and the TV and wifi were great. There's also a fridge, microwave, and table with chairs. I'll stay again.

For $40, it was a good deal. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was even a kitchen area with a dining table. The outside isn't very welcoming, but the owners were really sweet.

I've stayed at plenty of low-cost motels for work, and this is one of the nicer ones. It caters to oil field and construction workers, and the room is a bit small, but it's enough for sleeping, cleaning up, and heading out for the day. The staff were cordial, the room was cleaner than most, the internet worked well, and I had no electrical problems. For the price, it's a nice place, and I'll be back.
