I spent several hours at the spa during a break from skiing, and it was quiet enough to enjoy some privacy and downtime. The whole place was spotless and had a calm, luxurious feel. The women’s lounge had comfy chairs and blankets, plus almonds, truffles, tea, and flavored water to snack on. Christine gave me a great massage and was lovely. The massage rooms are beautiful, with mountain views. Before or after a treatment, there’s a sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, and cold shower for hot and cold therapy. They also let me leave a few things there before skiing so they’d be ready for me afterward, which was really convenient. The vanity area could use some attention: there wasn’t anywhere to sit, no blow dryer, and fewer supplies like lotion and q-tips than I’ve seen at other spas. Prices are high, as you’d expect in Deer Valley, but spending hours there made it feel worth the money.
What made our stay at Montage Deer Valley stand out was how consistently thoughtful the service felt. Housekeeping, valet, concierge, and dining all went smoothly, and staff seemed to anticipate what we needed. Everyone was warm and polished without making us feel like the attention was forced. The property is beautiful, with breathtaking mountain views and spacious, luxurious rooms. The fireplaces were cozy, the bedding was plush, and everything was impeccably clean. The quality showed in the details. Whether you’re skiing, heading to the spa, or just taking in Deer Valley, it’s a special place. We had an unforgettable stay from arrival to departure, and I’ll definitely be back.
The spa was a highlight of our Valentine’s getaway at Montage Deer Valley. It felt like a peaceful alpine retreat, with indoor and outdoor pools, steam rooms, saunas, and wide mountain views. We loved the ski-in/ski-out access, too. Getting straight to world-class terrain was effortless, and the mountain views were right outside our door. Inside, the resort has rich alpine-inspired spaces, warm fireplaces, and rooms that feel elegant but still cozy. Service was impeccable, dining was exceptional, and every staff member we met went out of their way to make the stay memorable. The luxury and attention to detail made it feel like a true five-star escape. Whether we were relaxing after skiing or having a romantic evening, everything exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to return.
We’d already had our company prepay for roughly 30 rooms, and the card I gave at check-in was meant only for incidentals. Still, an accounting “error” led to a $949 charge, and the hotel has refused to refund it or explain what it might have been for. The accounting department at this admittedly high-end hotel was a terrible experience. Audrey Garcia, a rude woman who identified herself by name, spoke condescendingly, challenged me to leave a negative review, and hung up on me. I wouldn’t trust this organization again, even though the hotel itself is quite nice overall.
Even without snow, the setting at Montage Deer Valley was peaceful and stunning. I was there in October for a business conference, just before ski season, and had an incredible stay. My spacious suite felt more like a mountain home than a hotel room, with two fireplaces and two full bathrooms. Meals came with excellent service and plenty of variety, and the bars had a great range of bourbons and wines for unwinding after meetings. I can only imagine how magical it gets in winter. Highly recommend.
