AmeriVu Inn - Park Falls

The breakfast was basic but offered a good number of choices: KwikTrip donuts, bagels with cream cheese or butter, mini muffins, toast with raisin or plain bread and several spreads, strawberry banana yogurt, cereal, milk, apple and orange juice, coffee, and hot cocoa. Our room seemed clean when we arrived, and the hotel was quiet overnight. The beds were snug but comfortable, and the room was small, though it suited our needs. There was a strange smell just inside the door that we couldn’t identify, but with the air on we barely noticed it once inside. We didn’t see anyone at the front desk when we passed through the lobby. It seemed to be a privately run place that operated on call during our stay, with a posted number for in-person help. That wasn’t what I expected, and having to call for assistance is inconvenient compared with other hotels. Still, things went well enough that I’d consider staying again now that I know how it works. Maybe the owners were busy cleaning rooms, but I can’t say for sure. We also saw the posted notice that housekeeping wasn’t available for guests staying multiple nights because of Covid. It said to put towels and linens in trash bags in the hall, but we didn’t see any bags, so guests may need to ask for them. The lot was packed when we arrived and had cleared by our 11 a.m. checkout. I gave it 4 out of 5 because of the inconvenience of calling for help.

I’ve been here over a week without any other issues, but the parking lot needs salt in winter, even this far north in Wisconsin. There weren’t any trash cans, so when I went to toss a small bag from the local gas station, I fell on my butt. I’m bruised and sore because the lot wasn’t maintained properly. I’m not suing or looking for compensation, I just wish they’d consider the bigger picture.

The people here are really nice, and the service comes with smiles. Our room was tidy and clean, and the location is great. They even had Girl Scout cookies, yum. I’d definitely stay again.

We’ll be back. I stayed at AmeriVu Inn a month ago and again today, and both visits have been nothing but positive. The staff are friendly and helpful, and it’s clear management cares. For the price, the rooms are very clean and come with lots of amenities. The location is great too, close to several state forests and right by the national forest. It’s pet friendly, which is a big plus if you travel with pets. I don’t write many reviews, but this place deserves a much better rating. It’s the best inn or motel I’ve stayed at in northern Wisconsin, and even among all my travels around the country, other motels haven’t compared. That’s a bold claim, but I stand by it.
