Laurel Grove Inn on the South

We came for a local event and had such a lovely stay that I already want to return just to spend a weekend in the house. The host was welcoming and cooked a very nice breakfast. Her rooms, the views, and the activities available were all wonderful.

The host is lovely, and Laurel Grove has everything I’d want for a waterfront escape: porches, a little private beach, tree swings, a dock, and Adirondack chairs right by the water. I’d recommend it without hesitation.

We’re not really B&B people, but this place won us over. The common areas are stunning, the room is beautiful, and the river views are spectacular. Breakfasts were amazing and the hosts were perfect. You can even catch rockfish right off the dock. What more could you want?

We hardly left during our two days there, apart from picking up food to bring back to the amazing patio overlooking the river. We spent time kayaking and paddle-boarding, watched boats go by, and saw bald eagles, herons, and beautiful sunsets. Our River Room was lovely, with a separate entrance right off the patio. It made it easy to head to the pier whenever we wanted to be near the water, and the wall of windows gave us a lovely view when we woke up. Tiffany was a wonderful host and cook, and breakfast was fantastic. We’ll be back. Thank you!
