Hotel Le Reve Pasadena

I'm here for a grooming competition and was already stressed about it, so having such a friendly, welcoming stay made a big difference. Rosie was accommodating and resolved my concern right away. Thanks for the contagious smiles, Rosie. I can't wait to come back for next year's competition. Hotel Le Reve? More like Hotel Le Rave!

The location was perfect, and Sunday morning was peaceful and quiet, unlike at many hotels. The rooms were very clean and the staff were friendly. Janet at the front desk was especially friendly.

The hotel's close to the highway, which is a plus, but our room was dirty when we arrived and there were only three towels for two adults. We chose it because it said pets were welcome, then ended up paying more per day for the pets than for ourselves. It was loud at night, with people screaming and fighting. The pool was closed for “inspection” for four days, so the one fun feature was unavailable. The staff weren't very nice, except for the cleaning ladies, who were helpful and kind.

The room was clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and the little kitchenette had a good-sized fridge and an induction stovetop. We were there for an ACDC concert at the Rose Bowl, and it worked perfectly for that. I'd recommend it for a stay like ours, as long as you know it's more motel than hotel. The online photos made the place look nicer than it was. Maybe some rooms match them, but ours didn't, and the hotel and lobby didn't look like their pictures either. I didn't see a spa room, gym, or pool, though that doesn't mean they don't have them. The elevators weren't working, which was a bit of a bummer. Even so, the place was neat and clean and suited our needs.
