La Casa Inn

I’ve been at La Casa Motel for about three weeks, and it’s been peaceful, safe, and quiet. The residents are open and friendly, and people are willing to help. It feels like a little community where people look out for each other, and I’ve been having the time of my life. The staff made me feel welcome right from check-in. They’re warm, easy to talk to, and check in to see how I’m doing and whether I’m comfortable. The maids are helpful and caring, make sure you have what you need, and are happy to chat. The rooms have TVs with YouTube, Hulu, Netflix, Disney+, and other streaming apps, which makes it easy to relax. There’s also an ice machine, a vending machine, and outdoor smoking spots with ashtrays in the right places. La Casa Motel has been a comfortable place to stay, with a real sense of community.

The room was a disappointment from the start. It looked nothing like the photos, and the bathroom walls were in bad shape. The shower was huge, almost like another small room, with a large water stain low on the wall. It wasn’t like any of the showers shown in the pictures. The toilet and sink area, by comparison, was cramped. The room itself felt like a single room with an extra full-size bed squeezed in. Both pillows had hair on them, and the mattresses were uncomfortable. A bit of paint and patching, plus more care cleaning the beds, would have made a big difference. The remote was filthy, with food or other bits stuck between the buttons. Wiping it quickly didn’t help. The lamp between the beds didn’t work, leaving no convenient place to plug in my phone charger, and it was just sitting there with loose parts. At check-in, management was attentive enough, though not nearly as welcoming as other guests seem to have found them. The price wasn’t bad, but I would’ve paid a little more for a cleaner, nicer room if I’d known. I guess the location was good, though I was only there overnight on my way out of town.

The front desk team gave us great service, and Rone answered all our questions. La Casa Inn was clean and had a nice atmosphere. We’ll come back next time.

Good value for the price. The rooms are modern and have lots of space.
