Starlite Motel

Everything else in town was full, so I stayed at the Starlite recently. It’s a decent place for the price, with a mom-and-pop feel, and the husband and wife are really nice. They’re improving the rooms, so be sure to ask for one that’s been renovated. The train noise wasn’t bad because the windows and door are soundproof. I thought the price was reasonable.

Very quiet, Pasco’s best kept secret. The rooms are clean, the electronics are up to date, and the staff are totally friendly. They have smoking and nonsmoking rooms. I’d give it five stars.

I’m writing this from bed at 9 a.m. I haven’t checked out and still have hours before I need to, but room service has tried to come in about six times since 7 a.m. There are only around ten rooms here. How hard is it to keep track of who’s still staying and avoid constantly disturbing people?

If I could rate it below one star, I would. The room was filthy, with cockroaches all over it. There was no remote, and the only security was a doorknob lock. It’s also secluded from shops and other businesses.
