After too many days on the road, we arrived with the kids around 4:30 a.m. Miss Judy greeted us and really turned the night around. She was friendly, professional, quick, thorough, and made sure we had what we needed. Knowing the room only had two towels for the four of us, she went to get extras. She even brought spoons for the babies' yogurts from the continental breakfast. I'm so grateful she was there to welcome us at such an odd hour.

The women I dealt with were always kind, and the lady at the front desk was amazing when we arrived in Payson for my niece's memorial service. But a water break later that evening left the hotel without water, so there was no shower that night. We were told in the morning they hoped to fix it soon. We went out to eat, then returned to hear it was fixed, only to find there was no hot water. I was moved to another room just 10 minutes before we had to leave for the service, and its bathroom had no lights, so I couldn't see anything. That evening I was switched for a third time. The hot tub was cold too. When my daughter told the office, Ross was hateful and mouthy. He followed her back toward the pool and yelled at an older couple there as well, then sat in his truck staring at us. We didn't feel comfortable returning to our room while he watched. Later, another woman came out and talked with us by the hot tub, and then he drove away. The vending machines were all empty, so bring snacks.

Breakfast was very limited at this basic, cheap hotel. The newer vinyl floors also make it easy to hear loud noises from the room above. Workers staying next door had beers and marijuana outside their room, though they were friendly.

Water service was out for 12 hours after a huge leak forced the hotel to shut off water around 8 p.m. We got it back, but then had no hot water for most of the next day. The next morning, guests were in the office asking for compensation, and Ross, a desk clerk, screamed back at them. His anger and the complaints about him make me think he shouldn't be dealing with the public. I give him a big zero, especially since he still works there. Kayla, who was the only one there trying to manage everything, deserves a raise. I felt awful for her. Owner Vinod was the friendliest, and after I spent a week fighting over the charges, he took quite a while to get our money back. My elderly mother was with me, and she had a very hard time. Kayla had greeted us warmly. The first room wasn't finished being cleaned, and its bathroom was so tiny you could barely get in. Thankfully, a handicap room was available and worked well for my mother, who uses a walker. But the bed was so high that she couldn't get on it without my help getting her in and out.

At over $200 a night, this was a real letdown. The room wasn't clean, the bed had visible stains, and no drinking water was provided. Staff weren't friendly or helpful either. I expected a clean, comfortable room and decent service for that price, but Super 8 fell short. I wouldn't stay again.
