Hampton Inn Jackson/Pearl-International Airport

We had to move from 302 because of a ladybug infestation. At least they weren't roaches or bedbugs. Room 308 was better, but several lights didn't work, and the outlets were so loose that the USB ports were useless. I had to charge my phone in the restroom. When the toilet clogged, the plunger they gave me was broken. Breakfast was fine. I told the desk about the lights, and they said they'd let maintenance know.

I've stayed here three times in a few weeks, and every room had problems. This place is run down, with peeling paint, stained carpet, broken blinds, and lights that don't work. In one room, the TV was out, the towels were stained, and the shampoo bottle was empty. It needs repairs throughout and updating. For a Hampton, it's too expensive for the quality.

There was a weed smell everywhere, and the rooms seemed to have been smoked in very recently. The staff were rude and angry when I asked for another room. I'd booked two queen beds, but they only had a single queen with a pull-out couch. I'm not happy with this place.

This is the first time I've left a Hampton Inn thinking “never again.” I've usually relied on Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express for consistent quality, but this one is out of my rotation. The room was dated, the curtain torn, and the carpet frayed at the edges. The microwave smelled like burnt plastic when I used it, the breakfast was uninspiring, and the face towels felt like wet cardboard. The room wasn't cleaned all weekend, the desk had splinters, and the service came with an attitude. I don't know how this hotel is operating under the Hampton brand. SMH.
