Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Jackson / Pearl International Airport

It was a quiet, okay stay, and the hotel was clean, though it could use some updating. Staff service was uneven: some people were great, while others seemed not to care. There was only one luggage cart for the whole place, and a note said there'd be a fee if you held onto it. Finding the pool was confusing too. The signs sent us the wrong way; the actual route was down the other hall, around a corner, and through a door marked stairs, with the pool door inside.

The breakfast was a real highlight, with plenty of choices, real eggs, two kinds of meat, cinnamon rolls, and a pancake machine. No waffle maker, though. The coffee was better than I expected for a hotel, since a machine ground and brewed each cup to order. A water option by the juice would've been handy; we had to use the fountain, but it wasn't a big deal. We were pleasantly surprised by the stay at Holiday Inn Express in Pearl. The sheets were clean and unstained, and most of the room looked and felt great. Some bathroom fixtures were rusty, and one chair looked worn. The staff were kind and helpful with our two toddlers. The gym was decent, while the pool looked green and dirty. Maybe that was because we visited in early spring, and I expect it may be cleaner in summer. I also left my earrings behind. When I called, the staff made a real effort to find them and keep them safe, then returned them when we passed the hotel again. Thank you!

Parking was a little tight, but otherwise this was a great little hotel. It was easy to reach just off the highway, and my room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was amazing.

The remodel came out really nicely, and they kept the rooms clean. I'm usually pleased with these properties, but breakfast here let me down. There was no yogurt, and one morning the cinnamon buns, a Holiday Inn Express staple, were missing.
