Sleep Inn & Suites Airport

We arrived late, after driving for a long time, around 8-9 hours. I told the front desk staff about the problems, but nothing happened. I was exhausted and couldn’t sort it out then, so I spent the night. In the morning I took photos and showed them to the manager. They offered another room, but I asked them to close my reservation and refund me, and I got confirmation that it was closed. A few days later, the money still hadn’t come back through Priceline. The hotel eventually agreed to refund the remaining amount, but kept the charge for the night I stayed. The room itself smelled moldy and was dirty. Dust covered the air conditioner, pictures, TV, lamps, and fire extinguishing system. Under the mattress were hair and other people’s belongings, along with a biological hazard and a sealed condom. The refrigerator had an open, partly consumed bottle of water. The furniture was old and scratched, the doors were damaged, and the sheets were dirty. The pillows had stains and the blanket had dirt marks.

We were here because my husband had recently died from cancer, and I’ll always be grateful for how they helped me when I needed it. The staff were kind, helpful, and became great friends. I couldn’t have asked for better service, or better people. There aren’t enough words to thank everyone. Don’t hesitate to stay here, you won’t be disappointed. This was by far the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The place was clean, and the customer service was well beyond great, always helpful and kindhearted.

Our stay was really pleasant, and the rates were great. The carpets were so clean I almost felt at home. Even the lobby and guest bathroom were comfortable, tastefully furnished, and unexpectedly clean. I’d make the short drive to Pearl for a room if I’m ever in Jackson again. The room was modern and nicely furnished, a pleasant surprise. Each bed had four pillows, and there were two very clean, comfortable chairs: an ergonomic one for sitting at a laptop for a long time and an easy chair. The tub and toilet were clean, and the water didn’t back up into the tub while showering. They served a small warm breakfast. It was okay, except for the soybean sausage, which I’m not a fan of.

The price was right for a basic place to rest, but I got a fair night’s sleep at best. The bed was worn out and saggy, and the mattress and sheets were wrinkly and uncomfortable. The floors hadn’t been swept, with toenail clippings and other little bits along the edges. There wasn’t any Kleenex either. The first room they tried to give me had missing pieces of carpet and a chair sitting on the ground with no legs. There was toothpaste spit on the mirror and faucet. I wanted a low-priced motel and nothing fancy, but I expected the rooms to be cleaned properly and the sheets to be decent.
