Holiday Inn Express & Suites Pembroke Pines-Sheridan St by IHG

Compared with my earlier stay at the Plantation, FL location, this one was much better. It was quieter, with nicer streets and buildings, plenty of parking, and a smooth checkout. The front desk staff were professional and respectful, and housekeeping brought fresh linen each day. My only housekeeping complaint is that the handwashing and body lotions weren't replaced after I called the desk twice to request them. The AC was loud at night and didn't cool the room, even on the coldest setting. Breakfast was bland, so I went to Dunkin’ Donuts most mornings, though I loved the dining and food around the Pembrooke and Davie areas.

Yeni at the front desk helped with my room location request at check-in. The room was clean and comfortable, with fantastic shower pressure, though it had a musty smell. Breakfast was okay. A perfectly fine place for one night, typical Holiday Inn Express.

Never again. During a seven-night stay, cleaners came only twice. They did no real cleaning, even when I called the desk, and I had to change rooms. I won't go into all the details, it was just horrible. Be prepared to use the public restroom, which seems to get cleaned only once a week too.

The room was beautiful, and they switched us to a king when we arrived. The location is convenient to popular restaurants, but customer service was seriously lacking. The front desk staff were unfriendly from the first minute through this morning. The breakfast room was trashed, so we had to clean a table ourselves even though hardly anyone was there. All the silverware, plates, cups, fruit, yogurt, and milk were out, but the woman working there seemed unmotivated and unconcerned. She got frustrated when I asked for things I couldn't find, like honey. The place itself is beautiful.
